Num serviço de utilidade mando você ouvir o mais rápido possível o CD "Miles Davis in Europe". Afinal de contas Miles não é apenas o maior trompetista da história mas também o maior músico do gênero. Sua fama veio depois de formar quartetos e quintetos geniais nos anos 50 e 60. O CD em destaque trata-se de uma excursão pela França, que a propósito ele exagerou no "dream team". Ao seu lado no palco, o saxofonista George Coleman, acompanhado das lendas Herbie Hancock(piano), Ron Carter(baixo) e Toni Williams(bateria), na época com apenas 17 anos de idade. Nessa obra prima do jazz você irá encontrar obras como: All of You, Joshua e a extraordinária Autumn Leaves. Essa foi sem dúvidas uma maneira religiosa por assim dizer de se fazer música. Infelizmente mas décadas seguintes o jazz tem sido uma chatice só. Ouvir Miles na fase 1950/60 é de fato entender como o tal do jazz foi visceral, emocionante... de certa forma, chega a ser perturbador. Experimente!
