O Hospital Militar de Área de Porto Alegre (HMAPA) é uma unidade de saúde do Exército Brasileiro localizada no bairro Moinhos de Vento, na capital gaúcha,[1] cuja função é prestar auxílio médico à família militar e ser um ponto de evacuação médica.[2] O HMAPA é de porte médio, contando atualmente com 68 leitos (incluindo maternidade, 3 unidades de internação, CTI e emergencia.[carece de fontes?]


O hospital foi fundado em 1º de julho de 1890, sob o nome de Hospital Geral de Porto Alegre, sendo renomeado em 2009.[1]
