Bastards (cujo nome foi estilizado para bastards)[2] é o terceiro álbum de remixes lançado pela cantora islandesa Björk, em 19 de novembro de 2012.[3] Fazem parte do álbum remixes de algumas faixas de seu sétimo álbum de estúdio, Biophilia. Todos os remixes foram previamente lançados na The Crystalline Series ou na Biophilia Remix Series e foram masterizados por Mandy Parnell.



Antecedentes |


Apesar de todas as faixas terem sido liberadas, Björk disse em uma declaração à imprensa ter sentido "que é importante reunir a essência dos remixes, assim, escolhi um quarto deles para um CD para as pessoas que não são, talvez, demasiado downloaders, ousadas ou não têm o tempo ou energia para participar nos rituais de caçadores-coletores da internet" e que "não é necessariamente uma compilação best-of, mas mais um álbum".[4] A capa é uma espécie de "strata" adaptada do vídeo da música Mutual Core, dirigido por Andrew Thomas Huang, formando o rosto de Björk.
